Van der Valk Palace Hotel Noordwijk, together with Van der Valk Hotel Sassenheim - Leiden, Hotel Schiphol, and Hotel Haarlem, is a participant in the Flower Parade of the Bollenstreek. Our float is an eye-catcher, and we are proud to be part of this beautiful event!
In 2025, we were awarded the prize for the most beautiful float.We are incredibly proud of this!

The Flower Parade will take place this year on Saturday, April 18, 2026.
The Flower Parade of the Bulb Region is the only parade in the world that consists of bulb flowers such as Hyacinths, Tulips, and Daffodils. It is also known as the 'Face of Spring' because of the unique spring colors and scents it brings. The Flower Parade is a five-day spring flower festival that takes place in April and involves all bulb-growing municipalities and the flower city of Haarlem in various parade activities.

Construction days Flower Parade
Prior to the Flower Parade, hundreds of volunteers roll up their sleeves to create the most spectacular floats and you can be a part of it! Come to the flower arranging days or building days at JUB Holland in Noordwijkerhout and experience the magic of flower arranging up close. Don't miss out and come see for yourself on the following days how the floats are being built:

Flower parade grandstands
Comfortable
Every year, there are several grandstands available for the Flower Parade, where you can reserve seats. These grandstands are located in Noordwijkerhout (Friday evening), Noordwijk (within walking distance from our hotel), Voorhout, Lisse, Hillegom, and Sassenheim. On the grandstands, there is a speaker providing more information about the parade and the impressive floats passing by. There are also toilet facilities and catering available at the grandstands, but it is advisable to reserve seats in advance as they are very popular!
