More than 160 years of history

Hospitality has been the heart of Van der Valk since 1862. What began with the purchase of the inn: De Gouden Leeuw. What started as a small family business grew into one of the most iconic hotel chains in the Netherlands. Founder Martinus van der Valk had a special vision: a hotel for every child. From that idea, a family of hotels emerged where hospitality, recognizability, and quality always come first.

Across all hotels, various restaurants were opened, each with its own menu. Alongside unique creations, there were also dishes served at every location, which grew into true classics. These are the familiar flavors that generations of Van der Valk guests have grown up with: dishes that evoke memories and have become part of our family history. 

VALK Classics

With this new, weekly recurring concept, we are bringing these VALK Classics back into the spotlight. During the 3-course menu, you will enjoy typical Van der Valk favorites. Think of those familiar starters such as carpaccio and tomato soup, and of course our world-famous schnitzels, served the way they should be: with apple sauce and a cherry.
