On April 18, Restaurant Vloed transforms into an atmospheric asparagus market, where you can stroll past various stalls and enjoy delicious dishes. Our chefs prepare everything live for you, based on: the best asparagus of the season. From classic combinations to surprising creations, such as: 

• Asparagus soup with Dutch shrimp 
• Fresh asparagus salads 
• Various sushi rolls and dumplings with asparagus 
• Cod with asparagus tagliatelle and vongole 
• Fresh strawberries with Romanoff sauce and lime zest 
• And as the grand finale: the Limburg classic asparagus with egg and ham from a hay box, known from the TV program De Wereld Draait Door.

René van Brienen

All dishes during this Asparagus Evening have been created by Michelin-starred chef René Brienen, former owner of the Michelin-starred restaurant 'Brienen aan de Maas'. With his years of experience at the highest level and his passion for pure ingredients, he knows better than anyone how to bring out the perfect qualities of asparagus. 

It is not without reason that he holds the title 'Asparagus Ambassador of the Netherlands'. You can taste his love for this seasonal product in every dish. Especially for this evening, he is traveling from Van der Valk Bonaire to Van der Valk Palace Hotel Noordwijk to share his passion for asparagus with you.
